Richard Branson Gets His Feet Wet With Crypto
Richard Branson has made his views clear on the significance of cryptocurrencies by investing in London based Blockchain, a Bitcoin currency service provider. The company is named after the underlying technology found in cryptocurrencies, known as blockchain. In it’s most recent search, it received $40 million in fresh funding. This is the largest round of funding in Britain’s tech sector since the country left the European Union.

After seeing an enormous rise in value over the Fall of 2017, Bitcoin has recently seen its share of trouble dropping to lows of $7,400. Auf der Facebook-Seite Daily BusyNews247 wurde ein Video hochgeladen, in dem ich angeblich für Bitcoin-Investitionen werben soll. Dieses Video ist ein fälschlicher Zusammenschnitt eines Interviews der 3. Handelsblatt Jahrestagung “Digitale Energiewirtschaft 2017”, in dem es NICHT um Bitcoins ging. Der Text, der im Video eingeblendet wird, ist irreführend und erweckt den Anschein, ich würde zu Bitcoin-Investitionen raten und hätte selber viel Geld damit verdient. Des weiteren wurde am Ende des Videos ein gefälschter Tweet von mir sowie ein ebenfalls gefälschtes Zitat eingeblendet, in dem ich erneut für Bitcoins werbe.
Von dem Video aus wurde man auf eine Webseite weitergeleitet, auf der ebenfalls unzählige, gefälschte Zitate von mir zu finden waren. Das dort aufgeführte Interview habe ich nie gegeben.
Als wir auf den Betrug gestoßen sind, führte der Link mit der Aufforderung “Jetzt in Bitcoins investieren” bereits in Leere.
Inzwischen wurden sowohl das Facebookvideo als auch die Website aus dem Netz genommen.
Leider lassen sich derartige Betrugsversuche nur schwer kontrollieren oder gar vermeiden. Ich hoffe, dass niemand auf diese Betrüger hereingefallen ist.

Silvio Schembri, Malta’s Junior Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, said of the move:
“We are looking forward to working with Neufund as it diversifies the market of crypto products in Malta, adding its equity fundraising of Neufund Platform on the blockchain, thus bridging the gap between the on-chain and off-chain world. We are pleased to be accompanied by companies such as Neufund in becoming the #BlockchainIsland.”
The Berlin-based company Neufund is an investor-directed platform that operates on Ethereum’s blockchain. The company employs blockchain technology to bring increased transparency to the venture capital industry. The Neufund platform offers companies — specifically traditional businesses — the option to raise funds on the blockchain by tokenization of shares, i.e.issuing equity tokens on-chain.
Notable venture capitalists like Atlantic Labs, Freigeist, and Frank Thelen have invested in Neufund. Innogy, a publicly-listed German energy company, has also invested in the company.
Maltese Government: Pro-Crypto
The Mediterranean island country has been working hard towards attracting crypto businesses to its shores. Soon after Schembri presented pro-blockchain business regulations, the inflow of crypto companies in the country has been constant.
Zoe Adamovicz, CEO and Co-Founder of Neufund, stated:
“Together with Malta’s Government, we want to kick-start the creation of crypto-friendly laws with Malta’s DLT framework initiative already serving as a great foundation.”
The regulations are comprised of multiple bills — the Malta Digital Innovation Authority Bill, Technology Arrangements and Service Providers Bill, and Virtual Currencies Bill — all aiming to make the tiny island country as blockchain-centric as possible.
“Looking at Malta’s vision and progress in creating a complete blockchain ecosystem, we have decided to engage our know-how and offer support in building the blockchain future of this progressive thinking E.U. member state,” said Adamovicz.
Look for other countries to follow Malta’s lead. For example, the Eastern European country Belarus has also offered favorable regulations to attract crypto investments.

Yahoo Search App from the Google Play Store on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone stopped working on May 18, 2018.
I went to the Yahoo Troubleshooting page but the article that said to do a certain 8 steps to fix the problem with Yahoo Services not working and how to fix the problem. Of course they didn't work.
I contacted Samsung thru their Samsung Tutor app on my phone. I gave their Technican access to my phone to see if there was a problem with my phone that stopped the Yahoo Search App from working. He went to Yahoo and I signed in so he could try to fix the Yahoo Search App not working. He also used another phone, installed the app from the Google Play Store to see if the app would do any kind of search thru the app. The Yahoo Search App just wasn't working.
I also had At&t try to help me because I have UVERSE for my internet service. My internet was working perfectly. Their Technical Support team member checked the Yahoo Search App and it wouldn't work for him either.
We can go to www.yahoo.com and search for any topic or website. It's just the Yahoo Search App that won't allow anyone to do web searches at all.
I let Google know that the Yahoo Search App installed from their Google Play Store had completely stopped working on May 18, 2018.
I told them that Yahoo has made sure that their Yahoo members can't contact them about anything.
I noticed that right after I accepted the agreement that said Oath had joined with Verizon I started having the problem with the Yahoo Search App.

I tried to search for things like www.homedepot.com. The same thing happened. It would say WEBPAGE NOT AVAILABLE. The only thing that changed were all the upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.

Elon Musk Reveals Just How Much Bitcoin He Holds
Elon Musk is many things- a CEO, an engineer, a billionaire(worth 20.7 billion to be exact), but is he a believer in the cryptocurrency craze? If his Bitcoin holdings are any indication of the answer, then probably not.
“I literally own zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago,” Musk said in a tweet.
As of today, that’s about $2158. Relative to his net worth of about 21 billion, that’s a drop in the bucket. Recently however, Musk was spotted with a book on cryptocurrencies, “Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Blockchain & ICOs & Co Simply Explained”, by Dr. Julian Hosp. The book is described as an introduction to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Given Elon Musk’s involvement in the creation of Paypal(who recently filed patents to speedup crypto transactions), it’s hard to imagine that cyptocurrencies and blockchain technology aren’t on Musk’s radar.
The Space-X billionaire has also become the target of Twitter impersonators attempting to steal Ethereum from unsuspecting users.
“We’re aware of this form of manipulation and are proactively implementing a number of signals to prevent these types of accounts from engaging with others in a deceptive manner,” Twitter said in a statement.

Passed Up By Dragons Den, Company Hits Stock Market.
Very little gets by the team of entrepreneurs on hit TV show Dragons Den, but today a company who was passed up on by the dragons has been picked up by a venture capital firm and now being traded on the Canadian Stock Exchange.
One of the founders of Netcoin commented on how the move is intended to help the company continue to grow,
“We were basically at the point where the company was growing far more rapidly than we could hold on for,” he said. “The public market was a good avenue for scaling up.”
Traditional Bitcoin ATM’s can be difficult to manage, charging costly fees in order to remain profitable. This is where Netcoin saw it’s opportunity. Netcoin only requires common devices, like a laptop or tablet, to conduct a transaction. After a purchase is made, Netcoin creates a new digital wallet so they can receive their Bitcoin. By doing things this way, it requires Netcoin to ask for less of a fee.
“We don’t have to charge a lot of markup,” Vogel said, when asked about fees.
So far, Netcoin has seen an enormous amount of growth, with thousands of users conducting millions of dollars in orders.
Though Vogel has been quiet with regards to how much exactly he received from the venture capital firm(likely a mix of cash and stock), he has commented that he will remain in charge of the business. His current titles are vice president of technology, as well as director. He was clearly excited for the future of the company,
“I am still involved,” he said, “It feels like a real company, even though it started with humble beginnings.”

Frank Thelen hat nie dazu geraten, in Bitcoins zu investieren und er hat auch selbst kein Vermögen mit einer Investiton in die digitale Kryptowährung gemacht. Dennoch kursierte die letzten Tage ein Video, in dem genau das der Fall gewesen zu sein schien. Hinter dem Betrug steckt die Facebook-Seite „Daily BusyNews2472“, die mittlerweile inklusive des Videos offline gegangen ist. Frank Thelen hat angekündigt, gegen die Fake News und den betrügerischen Missbrauch seines Namens vorzugehen.
Frank Thelen und der Bitcoin-Fake
Achtung, das folgende Video ist eine Fälschung. Es beinhaltet angebliche Tweets und Zitate von Frank Thelen, die nahelegen, er habe mit Bitcoins viel Geld verdient und werbe für eine Investition in die Digitalwährung. Über 210.000 Views hatte das Video der FakeNews-Seite bereits, bevor die Macher gestoppt werden konnten. Die Seite Toptestsieger.de hat das Video gesichert und zu dokumentarischen Zwecken unter der Kennzeichnung als Fake wieder hochgeladen.

Der Investor aus der VOX Gründershow „Die Höhle der Löwen“ warnte am Freitag auf seiner Facebook-Seite davor, auf den Betrug reinzufallen und kündigte rechtliche Schritte an. Das Video, das zur Bewerbung genutzt wurde, war ein Zusammenschnitt eines Interviews von der 3. Handelsblatt-Tagung. Tweets und Statements hat es so nie gegeben.
Weitergeleitet wurde man aus dem Video auf die Website busynews247.info. Dort fanden sich weitere gefälschte Zitate des Löwen. Ein umfangreicher Artikel suggerierte, Thelen hätte eine halbe Million euro in eine neue Bitcoin-Software investiert. „Diese Software gibt jedem die Chance Tausende von Euro täglich von zuhause aus zu verdienen. Und das Dank der Macht der Kryptowährungen!“ hieß es dort.
„Wir befinden uns In wirtschaftlich schweren Zeiten und das ist die Lösung auf die jeder gewartet hat,“ soll Thelen den Betrügern zufolge gesagt haben, „Bitcoin ist besser als jede andere Währung. Es gibt selten die Möglichkeit so viel Geld zu verdienen. Jetzt sind Sie noch im Vorteil. Sie müssen es wagen auf eine neue Technologie zu setzen. Nur so können Sie reich werden.“ Diese Äußerungen hat es so nie gegeben und das ist auch der Grund, weshalb Frank Thelen sogleich rechtliche Schritte gegen die Hintermänner der Seite eingeleitet hat.
„Als wir auf den Betrug gestoßen sind, führte der Link mit der Aufforderung “Jetzt in Bitcoins investieren” bereits in Leere,“ schreibt Thelen anschließend auf der Website medium.com. Einfach wird die Suche nach den Betrügern nicht. Eine gewöhnliche WHOIS-Abfrage läuft mehr oder weniger ins Leere und zeigt bereits, dass es den Machern um kriminelle Machenschaften ging. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass keine Löwen-Fans auf die Betrügereien hereingefallen sind.
Aufmerksam wurde das Team um Frank Thelen wohl durch einen Bericht der Seite Toptestsieger.de, die es sich unter anderem zum Ziel gemacht hat, Verbrauchertäuschungen durch betrügerische Testsiegel und falsche Testimonials aufzudecken. Die Komplette Recherche der Website Toptestsieger gibt es hier:
